Альховик принял участие в открытии стеллы

Сегодня, 8 февраля, рядом с памятником контр-адмиралу В.Ф. Рудневу в Туле установлена стела с именами наших земляков, служивших на знаменитом крейсере «Варяг» и канонерской лодке «Кореец». Открытие мемориала и митинг приурочены к 115-летней годовщине сражения у Чемульпо в 1904 году.

На стеле выбиты имена 17 туляков — георгиевских кавалеров, моряков — участников этого боя. 16 из них служили на легендарном крейсере «Варяг», один — на канонерской лодке «Кореец».

Кстати, в 2012 году слева от памятника Всеволоду Федоровичу Рудневу был установлен памятный знак с изображением гюйса крейсера «Варяг». Стелу же установили симметрично справой стороны.

Напомним также, что идея установки мемориала с именами тульских моряков принадлежит председателю Тульского дворянского собрания Евграфу Комаровскому. Он спроектировал монумент, а изготовили его работники АО «АК «Туламашзавод».
