Досточтимые отцы, господа атаманы, дорогие братья казаки!
Позвольте в связи с началом несения послушания войскового священника изложить некоторые мысли о духовном и нравственном служении народу и Отечеству во славу Бога нашего.
Хотелось бы, чтобы мое выступление было воспринято вами в духе Евангельской истины и Правды Божией.
Мы собрались здесь в год 18-летия Центрального Казачьего Войска. Для любого человека в этом возрасте наступает совершеннолетие и начинается взрослая жизнь, наполненная ответственностью пред Богом за саму жизнь, как дар Божий, и все таланты, как телесные, так и духовные, которые мы получаем от нашего Творца. Ответственное отношение к жизни определяется Евангельским учением: «…кому много вверено, с того больше взыщут». (Лук.12:48)
Прежде всего, осознаем, что Бог есть Дух, и служение нашему Творцу подобает нести в Духе любви, кротости и смирения. Казаки, как православные христиане, в своем духовном и нравственном служении народу возлагают на себя великую ответственность перед Богом. История свидетельствует нам, что Казаки всегда служили родной земле – Святой Руси, своему Народу и своему Государю с верой и надеждой на Бога. В наше время это служение в духе христианской любви – самое трудное и, как мы понимаем, самое значимое занятие.
По свидетельству евангелиста Матфея «Царство Небесное силою берется, и употребляющие усилие восхищают его». (Матф.11:12) Служить в духе любви ближнему, который отрицает сам дух этой любви – несомненный подвиг, который ведет подвижника к общению с Богом. По свидетельству Апостола Иоанна Богослова: «Кто не любит, тот не познал Бога, потому что Бог есть любовь». (1Иоан.4:8) Заметим, что христианство является единственной религией, которая учит, что Бог есть Любовь.
Уже здесь, на земле, Духом Любви человек входит в общение с Богом и определяет свою участь в царствии небесном по слову Евангелия: «Царствие Божие внутрь вас есть». (Лук.17:21)
Православная вера издревле была духовной основой казачества, смыслом жизни и самопожертвования. Охрана веры во все времена была основана на благочестивой жизни народа и являлась непременным условием его существования. Всякий раз отступление народа от веры заканчивалось плачевно, а твердое стояние в ней – победой. Казаки, стремясь уподобляться воинству Христову, имеют обычай возглашать «Любо» в знак того, что их дела любезны Самому Богу. Всегда ли мы, братья, правильно используем это слово?
В наше непростое время нельзя не вспомнить пророческие Евангельские слова: «и, по причине умножения беззакония, во многих охладеет любовь; претерпевший же до конца спасется». (Матф.24:12-14) Охлаждение в любви есть равнодушие, переходящее в ненависть, которая всегда являла себя во всех братоубийственных войнах. Социально-политическая ситуация в нашей стране далека не только от любви к Богу, но и от любви общечеловеческой.
Хочу вспомнить вместе с вами обращение Поместного Собора Российской Православной Церкви 1917-1918 годов ко всему православному русскому народу: «Братья возлюбленные, услышьте голос Церкви. Родина гибнет. И не какие-либо не зависящие от нас несчастья тому причиною, а бездна нашего духовного падения, то опустошение сердца, о котором говорит пророк Иеремия: «Два зла сотворили люди Мои: Меня, источник воды живой, оставили, и высекли себе водоемы разбитые, которые не могут держать воды» (Иер. 2. 13). Совесть народная затуманена противными христианству учениями. Совершаются неслыханные кощунства и святотатства. Изо дня в день возрастает дерзость грабителей .Люди, живущие честным трудом, становятся предметом глумления и хулы […] Россия стала притчею во языцех, предметом поношения среди иноземцев из-за алчности, трусости и предательства ее сынов. Православные, именем Церкви Христовой Собор обращаетсяк вам с мольбою: Очнитесь, опомнитесь, встаньте за Россию».
Положение дел в нашей Стране таково, что невольно возникает вопрос: может ли современное казачье воинство встать на защиту Родины? Ответ один! Сможет, если будет исполнять заповедь Господа Иисуса Христа о любви к ближнему и нашему Отечеству. По слову Апостола Любви Иоанна Богослова «Нет больше той любви, как если кто положит душу свою за друзей своих». (Иоан.15:13)
Отмечу некоторые реалии современной казачьей жизни, несовместимые с православной верой. Некрещеный казак, как и члены его семьи – печальное знамение нашего времени, ибо по слову Христову «если кто не родится от воды и Духа, не может войти в Царствие Божие». (Иоан.3:5) Известно, что некоторые казаки не исповедаются и не причащаются, а ведь по слову святого праведного Иоанна Кронштадтского человек настолько ничтожен и немощен сам по себе, что «…он все получает не из себя, а извне для поддержания своего бытия; сам он — ничто. И как тело его поддерживается воздухом, пищею и питием, так душа – молитвою, чтением Слова Божия и Св. Таинствами.»
Несомненно, начинать надо с себя, со своей семьи, и со всех тех, за кого мы в ответе перед Богом. Как же, спросим, может казачья семья пренебрегать таинством венчания, в котором преподается от Бога благодатная помощь для спасения душ вступающих в брак, где дается благословение Божие на семейную жизнь? Странно наблюдать за тем, как люди старательно хранят породу домашних животных и оставляют в небрежении свое тело и бессмертную душу.
Вспомним о мелких грехах, памятуя слова Спасителя о том, что «Верный в малом и во многом верен, а неверный в малом неверен и во многом». (Лук.16:10) К таким грехам относится недуг курения. «Курить – бесам кадить» – говорили наши предки. Святой Никодим Святогорец размышлял так: «На Богослужении воскуряют ладаном, как же и рабам греха не изобрести своего рода курения? Первое приятно Богу, второе должно быть приятно врагу Божию – Диаволу».
Каждый знает о вреде курения, равно как и о духовной ответственности за совращение «малых сих».
Федор Достоевский в «Братьях Карамазовых» писал: «Спрашиваю я вас: свободен ли такой человек? Я знал одного «борца за идею», который сам рассказывал мне, что, когда лишили его в тюрьме табаку, то он до того был измучен лишением сил, что чуть не пошел и не предал свою «идею», чтобы только дали ему табаку. А ведь этакой говорит: «за человечество бороться иду». Ну, куда такой пойдет и на что он способен?»
Вспомним также слова Святого праведного Иоанна Кронштадтского: «Братия! Доколе мы будем раздражать Господа?! Неужели мы сильнее Его?! Умоляю вас, братия, бросьте пьянство! Всех здесь предстоящих прошу: вразумляйте, просите, умоляйте друг друга не предаваться пьянству! Угрожайте пьяницам судом Божиим здесь и на том свете. Стыдите их; удерживайте их от пьянства, и Господь вас благословит здравием и миром и в делах ваших благопоспешением!»
Аристотель, например, говорил что «опьянение есть добровольное сумашествие». У Иоанна Златоуста читаем: «Пьянство есть добровольное неистовство, утрата рассудка; пьянство есть несчастье, над которым смеются, болезнь, над которой издеваются, произвольное беснование, — оно хуже умопомешательства» и еще: «Как у баснословной Сциллы и Гидры, так и у пьянства много голов: здесь вырастает у него блуд, там гнев; здесь тупость ума и сердца, а там постыдная любовь».
Скажем кое-что и о сквернословии. Матерные слова у нас слышны всюду. Ругань у нас слышат дети и матерятся вместе со взрослыми. Какую же «мать» у нас так ненавидят? Еву, нашу праматерь? Или новую Еву, Матерь Бога нашего по плоти? Или, наконец, ту мать, которая нас родила? Страшные вопросы! Ругань, несомненно, античеловечна. Она направлена против жизни человека, она проклятие самой жизни. Она от человекоубийцы — диавола!
В любой христианской стране народ почитает Церковь Христову как свою Мать, чтит Матерь Божию, наконец, мать-Родину и даже «мать-землю». Какое созидание моральных и нравственных начал можно найти в нашей ругани? Несомненно одно – матерщина ведет человечество к полному одичанию. «Молитва» к демонам заканчивается беснованием, на которое указывал в свое время Федор Михайлович Достоевский в романе «Бесы». Нашим казакам, как слугам народа, желаем ответственно хранить и язык и слух от всякого скверного слова.
Чрез страсти входят в душу человека бесовские силы. Об этих силах и одержимых духами говорил святитель Феофан Затворник, о тех у кого «…живет по несколько бесов; это у тех, которые работают многим страстям. Вот через них-то и властвует бог века сего».
Некоторые, окончательно теряя совесть, пытаются найти утешение не только в отрицании Бога, но и в борьбе с Ним. Борьба эта, как показывает жизнь, заканчивается неминуемой борьбой с совестью человека. Святитель Иоанн Златоуст замечательно указывал на одну из причин этой утраты: «Обремененная грехами совесть, страшась и трепеща пред будущим воздаянием и не желая находить утешение в перемене к лучшему, старается успокоить себя неверием».
Мы знаем, что неверие порождает безверие, влекущее за собой смуты, нестроения и разделения. Печально видеть отсутствие единства и в казачьем братстве. Как будто о нас писал Иван Александрович Ильин: «В мире раздор и смута потому, что люди утратили веру в Бога, задушили в себе совесть и отреклись от чести. Все ищут только «своего» и только «для себя»; добытчики промышляют, коварные оплетают, жадные высасывают, ловчилы устраиваются, честолюбцы пролезают, властолюбцы сулят и подминают, интриганы шепчутся в закулисной темноте, трусливые страхуются и перестраховываются… Смута и разложение царят потому, что в похотливых сердцах нет Престола Божия; в алчных душах нет ответственности и преданности; в черствых нет доброты и милосердия; в гибких и скользких нет воли и прямоты. О Божием деле, о Родине, о служении люди забывают и разучаются думать».
В своем выступлении, вызванном августовскими и сентябрьскими поражениями 1917г. российских войск в первой мировой войне, протопресвитер армии Георгий Шавельский говорил о духовно-нравственных причинах распада армии: «Нашим доверчивым и уставшим воинам посулили Царство Небесное на земле: всю землю и волю; и в это же время освободили их от долга: от обязанностей и от возмездия за трусость, измену и всякие другие нарушения высокого воинского долга. Нашим воинам пообещали рай на земле, и под влиянием этой проповеди людьми овладел животный страх за свою драгоценную жизнь. Не может быть доблести мужества, храбрости в сердцах людей, которые ищут одних земных благ, дрожат за свою жизнь, ибо боятся вместе с нею потерять все…»
Дело возрождения казачества должно начинаться с уроков истории, православное осмысление которой, поможет не повторять горькие события прошлого, и избежать несчастий нынешнего времени. Развитие и укрепление казачества в современном мире – задача, безусловно, трудная и сложная, однако, памятуя слова Господа Иисуса Христа «сила Моя совершается в немощи» (2Кор.12:9), потрудимся, братия, в полную меру сил духовных и телесных, чтобы дать добрый ответ пред Богом, нашими современниками и потомками, чтобы можно было с достоинством сказать: «СЛАВА БОГУ, ЧТО МЫ КАЗАКИ!»
